Hen Party Games
Games to get the hen party talking
How to plan games for a hen do
The right hen party games can turn a room of strangers into a team by the end of the first evening. The secret is pacing: start gentle, build up the energy, then calm things down again before everyone heads out or goes to bed.
A simple running order
- Arrival: something low-effort that people can join as they turn up, like a quiz or a guessing game about the bride.
- Pre-drinks: livelier rounds with forfeits to get the noise levels up.
- Late night: card-based games around the table work well when everyone is a little tired.
Appoint one person as games host. They keep things moving, read out the rules and make sure nobody feels singled out. Check the bride's comfort zone beforehand too, especially if family will be there, and keep anything cheekier for later in the evening.
Aim for one or two activities per session rather than a packed schedule, and leave space for things to happen naturally. Hen party games are there to help, not to fill every minute.
To keep everything on theme, add photo booth props for forfeits, set up a drinks station with shot glasses, and hand out prizes from our hen party favours.
