TABLEWARE
Plates, napkins and confetti for the hen table
How to style a hen party table
A well-dressed table frames the food in every photo and makes a simple spread feel like an occasion. The trick with hen party tableware is to pick one hero element and let everything else support it.
Start with your colour story. If the weekend has a theme, pull the shades straight from it, so the table matches the balloons and banners around the room. Our hen party themes make this easy, as each one groups pieces that already work together.
Working out quantities
- Allow two plates per guest for a sit-down meal: one for mains, one for pudding or cake.
- Count on at least two napkins each, more if there are cocktails or a buffet.
- A light scatter of confetti goes further than you think, so focus it down the centre of the table.
For a long table, layer a cover first, then set places in matching pairs and run the colour along the middle. Add a few cups and shot glasses at each setting and finish with fun straws for the drinks.
For a buffet, stack plates at one end and keep the confetti for the cake table. Good hen party tableware should look great at the start of the meal and make tidying up painless at the end.
